What is the Step Up - 72 Strong Challenge?

The Step Up September Challenge is an invigorating physical and mental challenge aimed to raise awareness for suicide prevention. Participants are encouraged to be 72 Strong and complete the daily and monthly tasks in September. 

How does the challenge work?

Participants will complete the daily challenges and strive to reach 72 Miles and/or 72,000 steps in the month of September. Participants are also encouraged to complete as many miles in one 72 hour window as possible. This can be done through running, walking, or any other form of physical activity. The challenge aims to promote both physical fitness while raising awareness for suicide prevention.
 

Who can participate in the Step Up Challenge?

You must be 17 or older to participate in this challenge. This is open to all fitness levels, and you can participate from anywhere. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a walker or simply passionate about supporting mental health awareness, you’re welcome to join us on this inspiring journey.
 

Can I participate as part of a team?

Absolutely! While the challenge is an individual challenge, if there is a physical or safety restraint, participants are also encouraged to join forces with friends, family, or colleagues to complete the monthly 72 Strong Challenge.
